From the moment I wake up, I am racing around trying to get everything done before Jer gets home. All of you that know me, know that I can't cook. But I try.....sometimes. Anyways, lately I have been cooking a lot....and it's getting much better. Tonight we had steak, Au gratin potatoes and green beans....Jer cooked the steak so there wasn't much talent needed for my part! Back to the subject....I race around all day so that we can eat when Jeremy gets home.....then we can relax...watch a movie or TV. Today I decided that if I am going to feel rushed all the time, I might as well make it work to my advantage.

So here goes.......I decided that I would speed walk everywhere....to the laundry room when I had to change out the laundry....to the office when a client called....to the kitchen to fix a bottle. You see, in theory I am burning calories if I walk fast. Nevertheless, I looked like an idiot speed walking around my house....who knows tomorrow it might be lunges ;) (it's OK to chuckle a little...it is weird...but I have to get back into shape somehow)

Addi was up all morning.....she even stayed awake while we were at Joann's (she loved all the attention....she was smiling and talking up a storm). This afternoon she took a long nap.....but I had to get her to sleep with the blow dryer.....that is why she is in her boppy by the shower taking a nap :)

While Addi was sleeping I made the girl's shirt for their birthday party. I had originally thought I would do jeans, but that wouldn't be very comfortable for them on the games at the party. Sooooo I did pink cupcake shirts to go with polka dot pants I found at target....of course I will have a choice for Grace...polka dots or stripes...Miss Independent.

I have a question......When do babies start crawling? I should know. Addison moves everywhere. Today we put her on her tummy on the bed and this is what happened......

The Eyes of Texas

Jer is a huge Texas fan....no, neither one of use graduated from there.....I guess it is because his ponies aren't doing so well. Same same can't be said about my Bears!!!!

This was the first outfit he bought for Addi. I found the matching socks at the airport while I was on a business trip. She has finally grown into it.....so I thought I would take pictures just for Daddy!!

I have tried and tried to get a pic of her smiling. This is as close as I have come :)

MeeMaw came over yesterday to help me while I got all of the girls party stuff ready, cooked dinner and straightened up the house. Addi soaked up the attention !!! In fact, Addison wouldn't let MeeMaw sit down. She wanted MeeMaw to walk her around the house and talk or sing!

Makenzie Grace

At night I tell the girls stories.....we start out..."what do you want the story to be about".....usual responses...."baby Addison"..."dogs"...."polka dot dinosaur"...ya know all the normal stuff. Well Grace has picked up on Mommy's story telling ability. This was our last conversation.....

"Mommy we have to say lots and lots of words before we say goodbye"

"Once upon a time there was a princess named Baby Asson(Addison). I woke up and there was Princess Baby Asson and Bear Dog.....so I had to get the salt and pepper. (break....laughter...."mommy sissy is tickling me with her toes!"....resume story) Before I went to sleep it was my birthday and Princess Asson singing happy birthday to me. Happy Ever After!"

There were several stories like this....I wonder if I sound like that to her....lots of things that don't really go together seem to make the best stories.

Cupcakes

If there were a theme for the girls party, it would be cupcakes.....sounds strange I know, but I think it is cute :)

Anyways.....I made this outfit today for Addi to wear to the party. I think I am going to make the girls blue jeans with the cupcake ruffle around the bottom....I really haven't decided yet.....anyways just thought I would share.

Happy Birthday Faith and Grace!!

Faith and Grace are FOUR!!! Can you believe it! My how time flies!

As you know, the girls are taking a tap and ballet class this summer. So for their birthday some of us are getting them their shoes, dance wear and bags for dance class. I think they are going to love it! I even picked them up some cute little pink skirts to wear.

Addison and Bear kept me company while I was making their bags.

Out and About

Today Addi and I met Daddy for lunch. We got all dolled up....summer outfit, ruffle socks and shoes!

After we had lunch, Addi and I ran around and picked up the last minute stuff for the girls birthday party on Saturday. We shopped till we dropped...literally :)

Milestone

Addison rolled over for the first time today......2 months and 10 days old!!!! I tried to get pics of it :)

She is also doing a lot of "talking" and smiling!
