Birthday Weekend

This weekend Faith, Grace, Mom and I are going to Emory and Brylan's birthday party. Squeaky is going to have a fun weekend with Daddy!!! I am very interest to see how it goes....Jer is really excited!! Addi and I made this dress for Emory today.....I am really hoping I can get Brylan's done. :)

(not a great pic.....I hope it fits her!)
Yesterday Jer, Addi and I went to look at cars.......we are planning on trading mine in. Addison was wonderful.....except when she found out mommy forgot her bottle :( So on one of the test drives, we stopped at Walgreens....problem solved!!! Here are a few pics of Squeaky from yesterday.

of course I had to put a bow in her hair!

Squeaky and the Sewing Machine

If you don't already know, Jeremy's nickname for Addison is Squeaky. It is very accurate! She is constantly making little squeaking sounds......in her sleep, while she is eating and when she is frustrated. Even her cries are a little squeaky sounding :) When Jer was leaving for work this morning (I did everything to convince him that if the school was closed, it was way too dangerous for him to go to work....he just smiled) he said, "bye squeaky....I love you".....it made me think...what if this name sticks? "Shoot Squeaky, Shoot!"....."Good Job Squeaky"....ya know if she plays basketball. "Squeaky...you have to eat at least 3 green beans!" "So...you are taking Squeaky to the movies?" Oh.....I don't know if she is going to like this name :)
Here are a few pics of Squeaky in the tutu I made her.

I know, I know.....when Daddy's away.....Mommy will play.......dress up ;)

Addi and I sat down at the sewing machine a couple of days ago and decorated one of her onesies......

(ruffles are much cuter and not so off center in person)

I think I am going to add a third row of ruffles to this one :) I love ruffles on her little bottom!

Visit from MeMe and Leonard

MeMe and Leonard had a function tonight at the Gaylord, so they stopped by for a few minutes to love on Miss Addison. They both loved it! Here are a few pictures from today :)

First Day Away

I had a work meeting today. Yep....17 days after I had Addi...but I couldn't miss it :(
Anyways, MeeMaw came over and spoiled Miss Addison!!!! Addi was in heaven when MeeMaw rocked and sang to her......I really don't think she was put down the entire time I was gone :) It is really awesome to see Addison enjoy the things that Faith, Grace and myself did. I can clearly remember being rocked by MeeMaw while she sang to me. Faith and Grace still love it!!!

Gee and I took Addi to the doctor yesterday. He was overjoyed with her progress.....ok so he was pleased....we were overjoyed :) She gained 9 ounces!!!! 7 pounds 2 ounces :) The visit was just a weight check to make sure she is gaining enough because she was premature. I don't think we have to worry, she eats like a champ! After the visit, we walked around Southlake, had lunch and did a little shopping. We found the cutest sling....Addison seems to really like it....she slept all through lunch and most of the shopping.

(she looks big in this pic!!)

About 15 minutes ago I took this picture of Addi and Daddy.....look familiar? He comes home from work and this is where they stay until I wake him up and make him put her down and come to bed :) As Gee says, "he is in love" :)

Two Weeks Old!!!

Today I turned on the music that is on her boppy....as you can see she was very intrigued

She also played with the elephant rattle that her big sisters gave her this weekend. The ears make a crinkle sound.....she made really funny faces when she found them :)

Daddy woke her up today when he got home.....she loves when her daddy comes home from work!

Are you sucking on your thumb???

Yep...that's her thumb. I have always had the theory that you can take a pacifier away but not the thumb.....she is just like her daddy......stubborn...doesn't matter what mommy tries to encourage :)

Addi's first pictures

Here are the picture they took at the hospital. She was 1 week old!

Big Sisters!!!

The girls have been with their dad, which worked out since we were in the hospital for so long. I really didn't want them to see Addison or me in the hospital. They asked me if the doctor made Addison feel better......doctor=sick...according to 3 year olds :)
This weekend they met their baby sister for the first time!!! They were so excited and very helpful! Grace was a little scared of her at first because she is so little but by Sunday she would hand me diapers and touch her feet. Faith was so funny. She kept saying "she is sooo bootiful"! They both sang her songs....you are my sunshine.....twinkle, twinkle little star.....ABCs. Today they helped me give her a bath and but her pretty clothes on....they were very good at telling mommy how to do things :)

The very first time they saw her

Grace is a little overwhelmed at first :)

Faith did not want to miss a minute of the activity

They stayed up late so they could help get feed her

It was such a great time for Mommy! All three of my sweet little girls! It was more tiring but not hard. I am so blessed with my crazy but perfect for me family :)

Chubby Cheeks and Pink Converse

We opened a present today.....Addi's first pair of pink converse!!!

Her first time to experience the boppy. She loved looking at the toys :)

Today I looked at her and was shocked at how big she was.....but the paci makes her look tiny

Just hanging out on the bed with mommy

Look at my chubby cheeks!

Pics from today

Of course, I took more pictures today. I just can't help it, she is just so darn cute :)

Taking a nap on our bed with the stuffed animal Uncle Cody gave her. I had it on the heartbeat setting. It really seemed to calm her.

Sleeping on daddy's tummy. This seems to be her favorite spot......daddy's too....they were both sound asleep in the recliner when I got up for a feeding.
Today we received the sweetest note from the nurses that cared for Addi in the NICU! I was so suprised that they each took the time to write us an encouraging message....(they could have just signed their names). We were sooo pleased with almost all of the doctors and nurses that cared for us!
As some of you might know, I have been a little tramatized by her belly button thing. Not that it grossed me out, I was just worried about hurting her. Well, today when Gee and I were changing a diaper we noticed it had fallen off :) Gee took care of it :)
Well my hubby is here. I have a hot bath calling my name :)

dr visit....9 days old

We went to the doc today......Addison is doing great! She is already at 6lbs, 9oz!!!! The doc was very surprised that she was already back up to her birth weight. All of her measurements are right on target. She is in the 20th percentile and grew a half an inch.

Here are a few pics from today.

Some tummy time....she picked up and turned her head!!!!

On our way to the doctor!!!

First Day Home

Today has been a wonderful day!!!
We picked up Addi this morning. Jer met Gee and I at the hospital to bring us home. Addison was wonderful! Of course, after each feeding I took full advantage to the extra cuddle time I got. Jeremy came home from work early to love on our little girl. He did the 6 and 9 feeding....but I don't think he put her down in between :) Every little peep from her won a little extra attention from her daddy!

Here are a few pics from today!

We are about to start our first night :)

Home Coming

We met with the doctor today and she told us that WE GET TO BRING ADDISON HOME tomorrow morning!!!!! I am soooo excited

Jer and I decided to rest at home. We are going to let the nurses do the 9, 12, 3 and 6 feedings. I know we need the rest, but I would love to be up there with her.

Nice picture that daddy took :)

I love that sweet look!!!

Pictures from the hospital

We are so glad we don't have that feeding tube anymore!

Our little glow worm

See.....she really enjoys her bottle
The red on her cheek is from the feeding tube

The day I was discharged from the hospital

I also took some pictures of her nursery today!!!

She gained 7 grams and her jaundice level went down by 2 points. We left the car seat there so they could do that test today. We are definitely on the road to being discharged!!!!
